Miss Michigan USA puts the spotlight on MRKH

Jacyln Schultz, 24, found out what was going on inside her body when she was about 15 years old. “I failed to menstruate… they first thought it was because I was so tall and thin and athletic,” said Schultz. But after she turned 15, doctors were concerned and decided to do an MRI. That’s when they found out she had Mayer-Rokitansky-Kuster-Hauser syndrome or MRKH. The condition– MRKH– caused Jaclyn to be born without a uterus.
About 1 in 4,500 women have it and at 15 it was tough for her to handle. Jaclyn has now turned her MRKH from a weakness to a strength. Read more here.
